The purpose of STEAM Rising Incorporated is to provide oversight, support and fundraising for robotics teams and other STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) activities.

STEAM Rising Incorporated is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, including for such purposes but not limited to, the making of distributions to robotics teams per Section 501 (c ) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.

The Irrational Engineers, a high school robotics team, was created to instill and develop a love of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM) amongst our members and to share our passion for STEAM activities with students and families in Prince George’s County, Maryland.

In fact, it is because of our love for STEAM activities that our oversight 501(c)(3) organization is named Steam Rising Incorporated

(EIN# 81-4129291).

The Irrational Engineers compete in the FIRST® Robotics Competition (FRC) League and are also known as FRC Team 6239.
